PANDORA'S BOX
All media under THE FREELANCER PHOTO – whether that be digital or physical images, graphics, any kind of writing – such as works of creative writing or official legal-binding documents or contracts – or any assets or graphics used on THE FREELANCER PHOTO's website, or any affiliated social media applications, are not created with the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) models or algorithms.
It is important to note the difference between generative AI models/algorithms and the artificial intelligence tools I use in my photo-editing workspace. Generative AI models use algorithms to search for artifacts outside of the starting template image or document to create something new, most often-than-not without the knowledge of the creator of those secondary images or documents from which the artifacts were taken. The artificial intelligence tools that I use in my workspace do not access any outside medium other than my own starting image. For example, in the instance that I am retouching a portrait of you and you have a skin blemish, I will use tools that smooth that blemish over by taking like-pixels from within that same portrait.
These algorithms are learning at an exponential rate. These algorithms additionally learn from themselves, creating a feedback loop. This rate only increases with the trending popularity it currently has in our society. The laws and rights regarding copyright usage with generative artificial intelligence are murky at best. This statement serves as a guarantee that generative artificial intelligence has never been used, nor will ever be used, to create any of my artwork.
